Days after filing for divorce from Jason Hoppy, the woe-is-me publicity tour begins for Bethenny Frankel. Who didn't see this one coming?! While Jason has remained mum about the details surrounding their separation, the Bethenny Ever After star who claims she's tired of living in the spotlight is disproving her point by beginning a torrent of media appearances.
First up Bethenny's made-for-TV friend and talk show benefactress Ellen! Bethenny sat down with Ellen today where the 42-year-old bawled about marriage not being a fairy tale and fame letting her down. Get your tissues ready. #sarcasm!
A weepy Bethenny announced that she feels like a failure for lasting a paltry three-years in her marriage. "I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you and I feel like a failure."
Most disappointing to Bethenny is the unfortunate realization that life is not a fairytale. "I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale," she revealed.

"I can't just only be on reality TV and show everything when it's fairy princess, fairytale, and then not take my hits when I have to," she says. "I thought I had it. And Bryn is my fairytale … "
Bethenny was unprepared for the emotional turmoil of divorce, but is ready to move forward. "You know everything and one day you don't know. The truth is, I wanted to rip the Band-Aid off so it could start to heal …So I'm scared. I'm older. And I want to be able to say to people … It's about what I do now … I never thought I'd be a role model but I think to some people I am or have been." Who are these people?
"This is an important time because it's about what I do next. How I handle myself now with grace, with dignity. Now is the time that matters." Grace and dignity like requesting full custody of her two-year-old daughter Bryn?
Despite divorce Bethenny claims she still believes in love. "Love is everywhere. It's the road and you're on it. It has peaks and valleys, and that's what it is, but I don't know how people go through this because this is excruciating," Bethenny shared. I'm sure that's the topic of her next book. gag.
In the wake of scrutiny over her divorce and personal problems, Bethenny no likey being famous anymore! “This has kind of made me say to myself, ‘Oh my gosh, fame is a weird thing, maybe I want to get off the ride.’”
WILL BETHENNY LOSE EVERYTHING IN THE DIVORCE?
Well, she's not so over it because she is moving full-speed ahead with plans for her 2013 talk show! YAY!
In order to help get through her divorce, Bethenny has moved taping of her talk show to the east coast. Reportedly Bethenny's relocation to LA was a major point of contention in her marriage.
Deadline reports that despite the problems in her personal life Bethenny's show has been cleared in 97% of the country for a national fall launch. Bethenny's show, produced by Fox, will air on a multitude of networks such as NBC, ABC, CBS, among others.
The big question is with all the scandals related to the divorce and the reported acrimony that looks poised to follow, will Bethenny's fan base take a nosedive?
