Basketball Wives LA is really disappointing this season. While I don't want the violent drama of the original ladies, but geez, this is boring! The most interesting part of last night's episode was a gay pride tattoo!
Malaysia Pargo, Draya Michele, and Laura Govan head out shopping, and Malaysia really wants the girls to be okay with Jackie Christie. Laura says she doesn't mind if Jackie comes around, she just doesn't want her to expect friendship. Um, wait, didn't Laura just have a nice and civil lunch with Jackie? Is VH1 having an editing snafu? I feel like that scene was filmed before the lunch, or maybe Laura is just that two-faced.
Gloria Govan is preparing for her action web series. Ahh, the internet…it offers so many options. Do people really watch stuff like this online? She meets with the producers who tell her she has two weeks to transform herself into a ballet dancing cold-blooded killer. Gloria is nervous, but she's up to the task.

Brooke Bailey and Vernon Macklin head to dinner. We learn that Brooke is a bit of a cougar! She fills him in on the other ladies, and Vernon reveals that he really likes Gloria's boyfriend Matt Barnes. The couple discusses their cooking schedules and toast to Vernon's trip to LA.
Jackie is talking with husband Doug about how sad she is that her daughter won't be home for her birthday. Doug wants Jackie to trust that her daughter was raised well, and she will be fine in the real world. I find it extremely telling that Jackie's daughter will communicate with Doug and not Jackie. Of course, Jackie then reveals that she's been trying to get Verizon to share her daughter's phone records, and everything becomes clear!
Malaysia and Brooke meet for lunch. Brooke wants to clear up any awkwardness between the pair. I hadn't noticed any weirdness between these two, although Brooke and Draya is a different story! Malaysia explains to Brooke that her best friend Bambi revealed some issues with Brooke. Brooke says she doesn't have any problems with Bambi…they just had some trivial stuff over a guy. Malaysia is still stand-offish because she wants to maintain her loyalty to Bambi. She hopes that Brooke would be open to speaking with Bambi about their differences. Once that happens, maybe Malaysia can be a bit more open to a friendship with Brooke. Brooke totally respects her stance.
Jackie and Doug are planning their seventeenth vow renewal. They also want to dedicate the ceremony to the LGBT community. The couple speaks with the manager of a local gay club, and he's very confused by appreciative of the gesture. They tour the facility, and Jackie thinks that this wedding will be their wildest yet. She wants to create a lot of buzz in support of gay marriage. I will say that her goal is very admirable.
Draya is meeting with Malaysia and Laura. She wants to talk about her business so she gifts each of them with one of her tie-dyed string bikinis. Draya admits that she is ready to make amends with Jackie. Malaysia is excited, and Laura admits that her lunch went well but she wants Jackie to be herself. Laura didn't like the weak and passive Jackie that came to her sister's tasting. Draya reveals that Gloria still isn't really willing to let bygones be bygones.
Jackie's bosoms are Skyping with daughter Chantal…and Chantal tells her ecstatic mother that she will be moving back to LA. Jackie wants to keep it a secret from Doug, and she asks Chantal to be her maid-of-honor at her vow renewal. She is really trying to sell this wedding. When Chantal obliges, Jackie is beyond thrilled.
Draya is teaching pole dancing lessons to Gloria. I don't see Gloria getting a stripper gig anytime soon. Bless her heart, she can't even jiggle her booty. She fares a little better with the lap dancing. Draya admits to Gloria that she hits on her often. Gloria always just thought Draya was really complimentary. This show just took a turn for the pornographic. Later Draya goes to visit Jackie at a tattoo parlor. What is Jackie having inked on her hip?? Draya explains that she is willing to give Jackie a second chance, but Gloria is more skeptical. She plans to tell Gloria how her discussion with Jackie goes in hopes that Gloria will come around. Draya proposes another group outing…this time one that won't be a total surprise to Gloria. Jackie is impressed that the girl who had the toughest time integrating into the group is now the one bringing everyone back together. Jackie explains her tattoo is a tribute to the gay community and a surprise for Doug. Wow. It's a bunch of hearts and a rainbow pyramid. While Draya thinks the sentiment is amazing, she isn't so keen on the actual tattoo.
Jackie meets Malaysia for lunch, and Jackie shares how excited she is to have reconnected with Laura and Draya. Malaysia is glad that everyone is becoming more receptive to Jackie rejoining the group. She reminds Jackie that in the future, she needs to be better about speaking to the ladies when she has a problem…not about them. Malaysia then likens Jackie to a "crackhead auntie" which Jackie shockingly lets roll off her back. Draya calls Jackie about the group get together. She believes that it may be best if Jackie hosts everyone at her home as a show of goodwill. Jackie agrees, but I'm guessing someone is going to end up pushed in the pool.
Draya is reporting back to Gloria about her time spent with Jackie. She is editing Jackie's crazy so as not to scare Gloria. Gloria is a hard sell. She receives a call from an unknown number, and she is not happy that Draya gave out her number. Draya promises that she didn't give Jackie her number, and she is upset that Jackie reached out to Gloria. She was supposed to be the middle man!
Next week, Draya expresses her frustration to Jackie, and Wacky Jackie starts to emerge again. Laura realizes Jackie hasn't changed, and Brooke and Draya butt heads over the photo shoot incident. Jackie is starting to lose her patience with Draya.
