Last night's Basketball Wives L.A. resumed with Jackie Christie crashing Gloria Govan's tasting party at Malaysia Pargo's request. As none of the other women had seen Jackie since the reunion (presumably), they were waiting with baited breath for an apology or an explanation…heck, even just a sentence at this point! Draya Michele is shocked when Jackie just fixes a plate, grabs a cocktail, and sits down silently at the table. The queen has arrived!
Malaysia makes a toast to explain Jackie's attendance, and both Gloria and Laura Govan have some catty things to get off of their chests. Jackie is trying to maintain her cool as her buttons are being pushed left and right. Draya says that Jackie is going to work very hard to regain any kind of trust. Poor newbie Brooke Bailey just introduces herself. Jackie begins her apology about being defensive, but Draya and Laura think she is totally lacking sincerity. I'd have to agree.

Brooke attempts to play devil's advocate, and Malaysia seems to be second guessing her master plan. The ladies almost lose it when Jackie says she thinks she deserves an apology from them. Do what? After some back and forth, Jackie leaves as quickly as she came (at Gloria's request), but Laura calls her to return but then makes a lot of fun of Jackie's boots. I don't think Jackie is going to be coming back to the party. I think she's just going to skate off into the sunset!
Brooke and her Detroit NBA star boyfriend Vernon Macklin have a picnic on the beach. So she's dating a basketballer…it's a start, I guess! Vernon is easy on the eyes…I may have to start watching actual basketball. Brooke likes that he isn't around 24/7, so they don't get sick of one another.
Malaysia and Jackie meet up to discuss the tasting party. Jackie is appreciative to Malaysia for the opportunity to meet with the girls, and she thinks everyone is in a good place now. Malaysia is floored. How could she have thought the tasting party went well? Malaysia tries to explain that Jackie came across as haughty and unapologetic. She is at least very patient with Jackie, and the pair decides that Jackie should try to plan some one-on-one time with her former bestie Laura. This should go over well!
Draya Michele is catching up with Brooke to get her take on the ladies. Brooke really likes the Sisters Govan, and she gives her two cents on Jackie. Draya feels like Malaysia totally ambushed the group. Gloria joins the duo and gets right into the conversation. They go from chatting about how Malaysia should have given Gloria a head's up to bashing Jackie's fashion sense.
Malaysia, Draya, and Gloria meet for dinner to discuss Jackie-gate. Gloria hopes that Malaysia isn't going to spring Jackie on them again. Malaysia gives a heartfelt apology for crashing the tasting. Her actions were stupid but harmless.
Brooke and Draya are competing for a magazine cover, and Draya Michele is NOT happy. She expected a closed set, and she wants only hair and make-up in attendance. Draya leaves, citing that she will only return when she doesn't have to shoot with other people. The photographer thinks she's being ridiculous, and Brooke can't believe how unprofessional Drays is acting. Of course, Draya hightailing it off set gives Brooke more time with the photographer. Petty jealousy is so fun to watch!
Gloria is meeting with her manager about a recent audition. She fancies herself the next Laura Croft: Tomb Raider. Somewhere across the globe, Angelina Jolie is laughing maniacally while adopting another impoverished child. Gloria has been cast as a ballerina by day and an assassin by night in a six episode web series. She is also expected to do her own stunts. Gloria is super thrilled, and the plan is to turn the web series into a feature film at some point. At some point. Some undetermined point in the distant future, I'd guess.
Following suit, Brooke meets with her agent. Is this going to be the theme of the season because I'm already incredibly bored. Brooke relays Draya's diva behavior to her manager, and she is proud of herself for being such a professional. Next!
A skeptical Laura agrees to meet Jackie for lunch. Jackie's apology is much more genuine this time around, and Laura is ready to accept her former friend as long as they can continue to be real with one another. Before long, the ladies are cracking up, but Laura, like Malaysia, is shocked to learn that Jackie thought her time at the tasting party was positive. Laura is now convinced that Jackie is crazy, but she's willing to work with the insanity. Jackie is really happy to back in Laura's good graces.
Brooke is doing another photo shoot, and she invites Gloria to hang out on set. Brooke is quick to Gloria about Draya stomping out of their last shoot. Gloria wonders what Draya was thinking, but she hopes that Draya was upset by something other than Brooke's presence. They don't need any extra drama. Yes, yes they do! This season is off to such a slow start!
Malaysia goes on a hike with her childhood bestie (and rumored cast newbie) Bambi. The women are discussing the cast dynamic, and they begin talking about Jackie's party crashing. Malaysia hopes that her kindness to Jackie won't come back to bite her in the a$$. Brooke's name is brought up, and Bambi immediately calls her a hater. Bambi doesn't know her personally, but she believes that Brooke is very jealous of her. Um, okay.
Next week, the women think Malaysia is being naive in her friendship with Jackie. Jackie begins planning her seventeenth vow renewal, and Gloria takes pole dancing lessons from Draya. Jackie also gets a new tattoo. Yup, this show may have officially jumped the shark!
