I feel like I’m living in a parallel universe. Evelyn Lozada, wine bottle throwing star of Basketball Wives will be appearing on Oprah‘s OWN Network on a show called Iyanla Fix My Life.
Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that Evelyn‘s life is the one being fixed, apparently she’s participating in a work-out segment so all of y’all can fix your lives to be more like Evelyn’s! Correction from Evelyn’s team: “Iyanla was showing Evelyn how to relax and get in her ZEN moment. The shooting actually took place at Evelyn’s home where Iyanla met with her family.”
Taking to her blog, Evelyn announced: “Hey Everyone! I’m with Iyanla and can’t wait for you guys to see me on her show ‘Iyanla Fix My Life’ on OWN – Oprah Winfrey Network in September.”

“I will keep you guys informed of the actual air date. Right now, I’m in my ZEN moment with Iyanla.” Evelyn included some photos, which are below. It appears Evelyn is learning some yoga – which she needs desperately. Hopefully Evelyn doesn’t throw a drink on Oprah!
Moving on, Jennifer Williams has decided, to well, move on. According to TMZ, Jenn has dropped the lawsuit she filed against Evelyn’s assistant Nia Crooks for slapping her in the face. I hope Evelyn leaves Nia at home when she visits Oprah!
Earlier this month, Jennifer decided to end the suit and filed documents to withdraw. There was no settlement. Jennifer’s rep confirms the suit was dropped, Jennifer is “already dealing with her difficult divorce and did not feel that it was necessary to continue to pursue civil action.”
I hope this has everything to do with Jenn wanting to escape BBW completely and put that entire show behind her and has nothing to do with a last-ditch effort to nab a S5 contract. Jennifer was reportedly fired from the show and reports claimed the lawsuit was a major contributing factor to her being let-go.
Nia, desperate little fame hoochie that she is, had her lawyer issue a completely ungrateful response.
“We have always maintained that the frivolous lawsuit brought by Jennifer Williams was nothing short of a last-gasp attempt to maintain her dwindling relevance on the ‘Basketball Wives,'” Javier Solano, Nia‘s lawyer commented.
“Nia is happy to put this issue behind her and start looking ahead to work on her own career.” Nia doesn’t have a career – nor does she have any money. Which is probably why Jennifer abandoned suit. Let’s hope Jenn has the last laugh – and for her own sake, let’s hope she doesn’t return to BBW!
THOUGHTS ON THE NEWS? SHOULD EVELYN BE ON OWN? WHY DID JENN DROP THE LAWSUIT?
