The usually camera-shy and demure Hiltons are releasing another way to fatten their impressive bank accounts! Kathy Hilton, sister to Kyle Richards and Kim Richards is releasing a new dress line, the “Kathy Hilton Collection” which will probably be in your local T.J. Maxx or Ross in about five seconds.
What we truly care about is why Kathy didn’t join her sisters on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and according to her, the reason she is..she was busy, darling! In an interview with PR.com, Kathy says she was approached, but she had better things to do. “I was working on something else.,” she says.

Kathy has appeared on Paris Hilton‘s show, The World According To Paris, and she rationalized her appearance on that show because it was “light-hearted” and because she was able to help Brooke Mueller. She describes watching the infamous last episode of season 1 of RHOBH, where Kyle accuses Kim of being an alcoholic and says it made her so upset she didn’t watch season two, which is unfortunate considering Kim’s problems (whatever that may be) were far more evident in the second season:
When I watched the first season and then when I saw what happened on the first season’s finale… Paris and I were here watching that finale together. My mother is no longer here and I broke down, and I felt so bad that I didn’t have her, I missed my mom. It was just heart-breaking that my family could fall apart like that so I didn’t watch the second season at all. I was very upset. I kind of skimmed through the end when they did the reunion. I was only interested in watching Kim and Kyle. I think they’re doing well now, though. They better! At the end of the day, your health, your family, and your friends are the only thing that matters.
From what I’ve heard of the Hilton family, they value notoriety, fame, and money above just about everything so it’s also possible that Kathy was maybe happy with her sisters’ newfound reality celebrity. I’ve certainly heard that the Hiltons were secretly happy that Paris went on to become so famous due to her sex tape and make so much money independently of her inheritance. The Hiltons just live in a different sphere than us normal folks.
