Basketball Wives is rapidly becoming a cesspool of drama, vitriol, and violence – off screen! Jennifer Williams recently filed a lawsuit and pressed charges against former friend Evelyn Lozada‘s assistant Nia Crooks after Nia slapped her in the face while filming for the show.
Rumors abound have stated the producers are not happy with Jenn’s decision and even going so far as to accuse her of filing suit for publicity or to secure a spot on next season’s cast. Well now TMZ is reporting that producers are so furious they may just file a suit against Jenn in return. Isn’t this blackmail of sorts?
Their reason? Jenn is violating her contract by bashing the show publicly! According to sources, Jenn’s contract forbids her from doing media appearances or press without the network’s approval. And the Basketball Wives contract stipulates cast members must not speak negatively about the show. Due to Jenn’s media tirade against the race track incident, the big-wigs feel Jenn’s behavior is “ruining the brand.” Uh… seriously? Really? Wow…

Moving on, Shaunie O’Neal continues to defend this so-called brand she worked so hard to create. And by worked hard I mean casting the trashiest women she could find who have ever been associated with professional basketball women willing to get crazy on camera for drama’s sake!
In response to a recent online petition which encourages viewers to boycott Evelyn’s new spinoff because of her on-screen bullying, evil genius Shaunie agrees that sometimes things go too far between her little puppets castmates, but it’s not really a problem or anything!
“Sometimes it can be a little bit of some bullying going on because of the personalities being a lot stronger,” she admits to HipHopHollywood.com. “Evelyn’s personality is a lot stronger than [Jennifer Williams’] , so it does seem like it’s bullying.”
But Shaunie believes looks can be deceiving and insists Jenn isn’t mistreated at all! “I don’t think Jen would think she’s bullied,” Shaunie says. “I don’t think she would want to take that role of being bullied because I think she’s strong in her own way. It’s just a different way of deal with it.”
And further defending the women who pay her bills with their shenanigans, Shaunie says Tami Roman is definitely not a mean girl. Nope not in anyway. She’s just misunderstood! “Tami…I love Tami, so I don’t ever want to call her a bully because I know Tami’s heart,” Shaunie reveals.”Tami is a great individual, but she’s one of those people—just don’t cross her. Keep everything real honest and on the table.”
Well, there you have it. Shaunie continues to believe this type of behavior is acceptable and no amount of Star Jones demanding things change is going to make a difference!
IS JEN RUINING THE BRAND BY SPEAKING OUT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED? DO PRODUCERS HAVE A RIGHT TO SUE HER? IS SHAUNIE DELUSIONAL OR JUST PROTECTING HER ASSETS? IS JEN BULLIED?
