RHOA’s Kandi Burruss Insists ‘Kim Wouldn’t Have Gone On African Trip!’ Kim Zolciak Implies Kandi Is Not A True Friend!

I will never forgive Kim Zolciak from depriving us of her presence during the Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s trip to Africa, where they pledged to be nice after visiting an orphanage, and then followed that up with endless arguments about nothing.

It would have been truly hilarious to see Kim in that environment, away from her suburban bubble of Bentleys, fat-sucking lasers, and chain restaurants. But, alas, Kim passed on the trip, and a few people have accused the sole white lady on the cast of being racist and not wanting to go to Africa.

On her recent Bravo blog, former musical partner Kandi Burruss does not back down, making it clear she still believes Kim would NOT have wanted to visit the orphanage:

“First off, I do not think Kim would have gone to Africa, even if she hadn’t just had the baby, and I don’t see her spending time at an orphanage, especially not the one we went to in Africa. As for me saying I don’t see her at the orphanage, no I don’t. She may disagree, but that’s my opinion. I just don’t see her being the type to be there. Not that Kim wouldn’t help. I think she would help with giving donations to get them what they need, but I don’t see her doing physical help.”

Kandi also thinks it was simply a matter of Kim wanting to avoid being around Nene Leakes. That’s certainly understandable since the women’s feud has gotten rather ugly on several occasions.

“Kim has been avoiding NeNe for over a year. It would have taken a million dollars to get her to come on a trip where she was stuck for a whole week in close proximity to NeNe. On top of that she hates long flights.”

The supremely lazy Kim might be type to send a check and return to the hotel for a much-needed spa day, but she begs to differ in her Bravo blog, and says she doesn’t mind dirt, or holding children of any race:

Cynthia and Kandi seemed to think I wouldn’t attend the Africa trip because NeNe would stop me and I wouldn’t want to hold African children. Although Cynthia made the initial comment, Kandi co-signed, so she’s just as guilty in my eyes. You are supposed to be my friend, why are you agreeing with a hater? If Kandi believes I wouldn’t go to an African orphanage, then she doesn’t truly know me. I love children and always have. I love to take care of people, which is why I went to nursing school.

Kandi says I am germaphobic, and yes, I like my house clean, and no, I didn’t want people around KJ his first few months, etc. But let’s be honest, as a nurse I have wiped many asses in my time, suctioned people, and held a basin when they were vomiting, so forgive me for being educated on all the germs that are out there, but there is nothing that a little hand washing can’t fix. “Germs” have never prevented me from holding a sick child, an adult’s hand, or walking into a less that sanitary place. End of story.”

Fans may recall the time that Kim said she would “shovel shit” for her daughters if she ever lost her ATM, otherwise known as Big Poppa, so she may be on to something. Kim also addresses Nene’s comments that she is too superficial to take on such a charitable task:

“NeNe mentioned that I am materialistic and superficial, which I found funny coming from someone who says she is “very rich.” I love my Louis Vuitton, I love my YSL, and I will STILL die in Dior, but never have I boasted and made displays of my items in hotel rooms. I am very blessed and grateful to have what I have. I never take my things for granted, or the things I’ve been granted will get taken away.”

We have to give a point to the Zolciak for this. None of the Atlanta cast members have ever been able to go very long without mentioning clothing labels or money, with perhaps the exception of Kandi, who has always been a bit more grounded. But none of these ladies have ever shown up ANYWHERE in just a pair of worn Old Navy yoga pants and a Target tank top – know what I mean? Speaking of label-whores, Kandi also mentions Marlo in her blog post, and her discomfort at her constant braying of her expensive wardrobe (earned with a paycheck that came straight from the heavens if we are to believe her):

“I think for the most part Marlo is a nice person, and yes, I think she’s fashionable, but I just don’t like being around people who constantly boast and brag about what they have. At a certain point people will only notice you for what they can see on the surface, if that’s all you seem to offer. I think Marlo has an incredible closet full of beautiful clothes and shoes, but the constant talk about them I can do without.”

Back to the topic of the Wigged One, Kim, the final question is, is she in fact racist? Kim says she isn’t and that if she was, she would not be on this show:

In my eyes children in need are children in need. I have said this before, and I will say it till I die, I DON’T SEE COLOR, not with women, men, children, or adults. What they said was ignorant and rude. I do not need to explain that I am not a racist, because the people who know me know my heart.

I embrace all races, and if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Need I say more?

My feelings are that Kim is completely checked out of this show, and didn’t see any personal benefit to going on the Africa trip. She’s consistently missed group events throughout the seasons, and the one housewife vacation she went on last season was to visit one of her boyfriends. With Kim, sticking to the surface answer is probably the closest to the truth.

TELL US: WHY DO YOU THINK KIM SKIPPED OUT ON THE TRIP TO AFRICA? DO YOU THINK SHE IS TOO SELFISH TO HAVE GONE TO THE ORPHANAGE? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE OTHER CAST MATE’S COMMENTS ABOUT HER?
