A Forgetful Chynna Phillips is Eliminated from Dancing With the Stars

Movie score night proved to be an exciting evening for Dancing With the Stars, with Cher in the audience supporting Chaz Bono and Ricki Lake and Derek Hough scoring the highest score of the season thus far (with two 10s!).

However, last night’s elimination was just as exciting for me. Why? First of all, the “celebrities” watching in the ballroom got to put in their two cents on the performances. Hello Pee-Wee Herman! Greetings Donny Osmond! Great to see you Steve Sanders Ian Ziering! And of course Courteney Cox Arquette and Kris and Bruce Jenner Kardashian have their say. It’s like the who’s who of has-beens (not you, Courteney…I hope).

Susan Boyle performed Unchained Melody “the song from Ghost” according to Brooke Burke Charvet, but I think the Everly Brothers claimed it first. Ricki Lake is the first celebrity deemed safe, followed by my man J.R. Martinez. Rob Kardashian isn’t so lucky…he’s potentially on the chopping block.

Julianne Hough also returned “home” to the DWTS stage where she got her start to perform a routine with her co-star from the movie Footloose. They are accompanied by the musical stylings of Blake Shelton singing the iconic Kenny Loggins’ song. Girlfriend is a talented dancer…let’s hope she’s half as good an actress because this DWTS is just one long advertisement for her remake.

The next three pairs are showcased. Viewers relive Chynna Phillips‘ choreography black-out, Carson Kressley’s pirate booty dance, and the routine that the judges called Chaz Bono’s best to date. Chaz and last night’s lowest scoring Carson are safe, with Chynna joining Rob in the bottom three.

The siblings Hough perform the twist together before the fate of the remaining three couples is revealed. Hope Solo and David Arquette are safe, but Nancy Grace must boogie her way to the to the bottom. The bottom three are solidified with Rob owning three more points than Chynna or Nancy.

Nancy Grace is the first saved of the the three, and Chynna Phillips, the front runner at the season’s opener, is eliminated. Rob Kardashian can breath another sigh of relief…he’ll be around for next week’s 80’s themed dancing.

DO YOU THINK CHYNNA SHOULD HAVE BEEN VOTED OFF THE SHOW? WHAT DID YOU THINK OF JULIANNE’S RETURN? WHO DO YOU THINK WILL BE THE NEXT TO GO?
