E! reality star Holly Madison is now firing back at her body critics while also gracing the latest cover of Life & Style magazine!
“I’m proud of my body,” declares the former Playboy Playmate, who was told to lose some weight a few months ago for her Las Vegas burlesque Peepshow. Holly has also received criticism from costar and fellow Playmate Jayde Nicole. “She needs to lose 10 pounds of fat,” Jayde told Life & Style last month. “If she lost 10 pounds and toned up a little bit, she’d be back in the shape she used to be.”
While Holly, star of Holly’s World, admits she has gained weight since moving to Las Vegas, she makes it clear she is not about to risk her health to meet other peoples’ standards.
“Once I realized that other people were noticing that I’d packed on a few, I was embarrassed to go onstage,” says the 32-year-old.
“I like food too much to go on some crazy diet,” she says. “French fries are my favorite downfall.”
“I’d rather be overweight and curvy than super thin with no curves,” adds Holly. “I’m proud of my body.”
And despite having a figure most women would envy, Holly admits that her small frame doesn’t exempt her from what haunts millions of women: cellulite. “I have cellulite — and had it even when I was at my absolute thinnest,” she tells Life & Style. “I’m never not going to have cellulite. People need to just accept that it’s there and maybe dress accordingly or use body makeup to cope with it.”
Holly adds that while she now exercises by doing Pilates classes and 20-minute runs, she does not want to lose her curves. “I’ve always had a butt, and I want to keep it — cellulite and all. I’m not perfect, but I love my curves.”
