So much for Jon & Kate calling a truce for the sake of their plus 8.
TMZ is now reporting that Kate Gosselin is asking a judge to hold her ex-husband Jon Gosselin in contempt of court. The reason? The pot Kate believes Jon has been blabbing his mouth to the media. It seems while the Gosselins are allowed to blab about their issues and kids to the media, a right Kate has been exercising quite frequently in recent months, they are not allowed to talk about issues directly related to their court case.
According to TMZ, Kate had her lawyers file the Petition for Contempt of Custody Order last Thursday. Sources close to the case tell TMZ that Kate believes Jon is violating the judge’s custody order, which prohibits either of them from talking about the case, by allegedly selling information about the case and tweeting his displeasure of the judge’s various decisions.
This is also likely related to the recent RadarOnline report which stated Jon’s displeasure at Kate taking their 8 kids to Australia for a vacation to work and earn her more money from TLC. This led to Jon not getting the kids for New Year’s Eve like he was supposed to. Jon took the issue to court to try to stop the vacation but a judge ruled in Kate’s favor stating the trip was okay because it was work related.
Kate is now claiming Jon is willfully disobeying the court orders, mostly to make a quick buck. She wants the judge to modify the custody agreement to protect the kids from Jon trying to make money off them. Oh the irony.
A hearing for the case has been set for later this month.
