Week 5 of Dancing with the Stars brought us TV theme week, which had the stars and their partners dancing to the tune of our favorite classic TV theme songs.
Taking the lead this week was Brandy and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, as the two finally lived up to their potential (they were named the favorites before the season even started). The pair, who were also the first to dance, performed the quickstep to the theme song from “Friends” earning rave reviews and a score of 27. “It was, without doubt, your best dance,” judge Len Goodman said.
Coming in second place was Jennifer Grey and partner Derek Hough. The duo danced the foxtrot to the theme from “Married with Children.” They earned a good score of 25 as well as praises from Bruno who called it, “pristine, elegant, beautifully danced.”
In last place was Birthday girl Bristol Palin (she turned 20-years-old last night) and partner Mark Ballas. Despite donning a monkey costume to go along with their jive dance to the theme from “The Monkees,” the pair only earned a score of 18. Though Bristol received the lowest score of the night, she did hear some positive words from judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “Bristol, I’m so happy for you because this show is about making a transformation and trying someone new, and you really made a transformation,” said Carrie Ann.
