Kim Kardashian sent the web buzzing Monday afternoon after she tweeted the above photo of herself holding a black cat by the scruff of its neck.
“Pic from my shoot yesterday…good kitty cat!” wrote the 29 year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star underneath the TwitPic. This led to Kim being slammed by her Twitter fans and even PETA for the way she held the cat in the photo.
Kim later followed up with the following comment, “Rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up, the cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm animals.”
It seems Kim might have had a point as TMZ contacted the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A., who told them “It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time” … however warning, “the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals.”
Moving on from Catgate to Kim’s 2007 Playboy appearance. In a new interview with Bazaar magazine, during which the reality star poses nude in an un-airbrushed photo, Kim reveals that she actually regrets doing Playboy, saying her mom pressured her into doing it. Kim told the magazine, “I’m sorry I did Playboy. I was uncomfortable.”
Kim added that her pimp mom Kris Jenner told her to “go for it.” Kim quotes her mom as saying, “They might never ask you again. Our show isn’t on the air yet. No one knows who you are. Do it and you’ll have these beautiful pictures to look at when you’re my age.”
