In a new interview with SeattlePI, Molly Malaney opens up about her new life post The Bachelor.  Molly talks about her recent engagement to Jason Mesnick, dealing with her new found fame, and settling down in Seattle with Jason, and his son Ty. Molly reveals that she and Jason are planning to get married within the next year.

Excerpts from Molly’s Interview below –

On Wedding Date – No. We haven’t had even a minute to think about the wedding. We haven’t even had one discussion about it. Now that things are slowing down, I think we’ll start talking. There are so many different factors: Is it going to be on TV? Is it going to be part of a magazine spread? Or are we just going to do it ourselves? It will definitely be in the next year.

On Dealing With Tabloid Attention – It’s amazing, seeing how personally invested people get. A lot of it, first of all, just with all the backlash that happened after the show, it was like, “Hello, people. It’s a television show!” Even today there’s still a small group of people who are still upset about it and still have animosity toward Jason and it’s just so strange to me.

I can’t say I regret going on the show or going through all the tabloid drama because I met the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life with, which makes it worth it. And I think a lot of our success comes from having gone through all that negativity.  I mean, it sucked. It totally sucked going through it, but it brought us a lot closer.

On Life With Jason – We are complete opposites. Oh my God. Two totally separate people. But it works. We disagree about any little thing. What to eat, how to rearrange the living room. But at the end of the day we love going to bed together and waking up next to each other and just being with each other. So our personalities definitely complement themselves. But he is so carefree and easygoing, doesn’t let a thing bother him. Everything just slides off. And he is such a glass-half-full kind of person. He always sees the positive side of everything. Whereas I am very square and safe and play by the rules, I’m very organized, and very consistent, so yeah — we’re very different. But we pull each other in the right direction. He eases me up a little bit and I kind of wrangle him in.
