ABC”s newest Bachelorette Jillian Harris needs to drum up some publicity for her upcoming show so she’s decided what better way to do that than to publicly root for ex-bachelor star Melissa Rycroft. They both were unlucky in their search for love with Jason Mesnick.
Melissa has made her way to the final 3 on Dancing With The Stars and Jillian makes it clear she is Team Melissa all the way. “We are such huge supporters of each other,” Harris tells of Melissa, with whom she “became really good friends on The Bachelor.” “I’m so proud of her. I wish I could watch her but I’m so busy with [The Bachelorette]. But I’m rooting for Melissa.”
The feeling is very mutual according to Melissa, who thinks Jillian will make a great Bachelorette, “She’s probably one of the most genuine and down-to-earth girls that I know. I absolutely adore her.” The new season of The Bachelorette premieres May 18 on ABC.
