In an all new interview with People, Gretchen finally addresses rumors about Jay Photoglou, the infamous 911 call and denies cheating on her late fiance Jeff.
As you recall, 40 Yr Old Mean Girl Tamra Barney decided it was her duty to “out” Gretchen during the reunion show, accusing her of cheating on her then dying fiance with a man named Jay.
Gretchen admits to People she went out with Jay on a “couple of dates” before she began dating Jeff but ended all romantic ties once she started seeing Jeff. Gretchen says, “Photoglou became a close friend and “confidante.” But when he wanted to take things further, I was not even going to consider that with him.”
Gretchen claims she continued being close friends with Jay after Jeff’s death and has never taken off her engagement ring once since his death (That would explain this photo of her kissing Jay with her ring on). “Every single time he wanted to have something more and I would deny him, he would say, ‘I’m just going to call the press and tell them we have a relationship, He has never been my boyfriend.”
So how does she explain referring to him as her boyfriend in a 911 call? “Because he was standing right in front of me, I was afraid that he was going to be upset that I was giving dispatch any information about him whether it was his real name, whether or not he was my boyfriend.”
Whatever you say Gretchen. Perhaps she would just be better off admitting she used bad judgment in dating Jay. There are plenty of holes in this new story of hers, but what can we do? We still love Gretchen as do many of the OC Housewives fans. Polls still point to her being the fan favorite but she needs to be truthful or not say anything at all!
